We invite you to review these case studies for pictures of our work and brief explanations of what went into each project.
RECENTLY COMPLETED PROJECT
American Country
Our client located a recently renovated condo in the historic district around Salem Common, and she needed help pulling her home together. Through an inheritance, she had recently taken possession of an eclectic mix of antique family heirloom furniture and oil paintings done by her great, great aunt, a well-known artist from southern New Hampshire, a student of the famous Hudson River school.

Designer Showhouse
Read along as we share with you the story of our design for the Grand Entry Hall in the 2007 Designer Show House in Swampscott, MA. This is a story of transformation: from a very tired space whose walls were shocking pink, with no light and old drapery, to a space with a delightful sense of grace and elegance. Our design solution restored the sense of grandeur to this room, setting the tone for the rest of the Show House spaces, while at the same time saying, “Welcome. Come in and enjoy what is to follow.”

European Villa
In our initial interview with the homeowner, we discerned that she embraced a classical, ornamental style and a sense of drama. We immediately pictured villas in southern France and northern Italy, and so “European-style villa” became the guiding theme for the project.

Antique Colonial
Our role here included all interior design and decorating responsibilities for an addition to the kitchen and den. The homeowners wanted to bring more detail and flair to the interior and address some real problems with circulation. And while they didn’t object to some modern touches, the addition had to fit in with the antique style of the rest of the home.

Traditional
Our relationship with the owners of this spacious 1880s Victorian dates back to the mid-1980s. Over the past 20-plus years, they have repeatedly asked us back to take on something new. Along the way, we’ve worked on every room in their home.
